Weed Control
This is a great time of season to eliminate dandelions and other broadleaf weeds. Please remember that weeds germinate and live throughout different periods of the season. All weeds can be controlled with Land-Art’s selective weed killers. With broadleaf weed control, we recommend the following:
1) do not mow the lawn for 1 to 2 days following treatment.
2) Do not irrigate for a period of 8 to 24 hours following the weed treatment. 3) On newly seeded lawns. do not apply weed controls until the grass has been mowed for 3 to 4 times.

Crabgrass Controlcrabgrass-2
A thick lawn is the best measure for grassy weed infestation. If a pre emergence crabgrass control was not applied during March or April and crabgrass plants are now growing in the lawn, it is too late to apply a pre-emergent on established plants. Post emergent controls are available. Be able to identify grass plants. Not all undesirable grasses in an established lawn are crabgrass plants. Coarse field fescue plants can be mistaken as crabgrass plants but are not. These grass plants can only be controlled with non-selective weed controls and reseeding.

Disease Control
Turfgrass diseases are most active during times of high humidity normally encountered during the spring and summer months following a cool growing season. Diseases are most prevalent on lawns that are improperly mowed, watered or selected species. Every lawn has a certain amount of disease activity. Again, following good cultural practices in turf care will minimize turf disease. Please remember that Land-Art offers unique Iron/Fungicide treatments to help prevent and cure lawn diseases. These treatments will improve the overall health and appearance of your lawn. Please call to inquire about pricing and scheduling.
