Getting Ready for the Spring Season
Spring is always a good time to trim back your trees and ornamentals. It is a good practice to try and raise tree limbs to a 10 foot height for proper sun filtration to enhance turf health under trees. Also just as with your lawn, try to never remove more than 1/3 of the plant at any one trimming.
Spring deep root fertilization with systemic merit insecticide offered by Land-Art, will enhance overall health and growth for this coming season. Please also remember Land-Art’s spring core aeration service and over-seeding with specially selected seeds. Aeration will benefit your property and offer reduced soil compaction, improved air exchange between the soil and atmosphere, enhanced soil water uptake, improved fertilizer uptake and use, as well as overall stronger healthier roots.
Mower Tune Up
Now would be a good time to schedule a time to take your mower in for a spring service, before you are ready to use it over the next month or so. Start off with a sharp mower blade to reduce fuel use and improve turf health. Have it sharpened every couple of mows through the season.← Cultural Strategies for Controlling Crabgrass Get Ready for Lawn Mowing →
